Abstract

The consideration of the weak interaction as a peculiar manifestation of quantum gravity prompts us to introduce a new term in the semi-empirical mass formula (SEMF). This term accounts for the gravitational attractions between nucleons and accommodates the necessary corrections in the binding energy of the nucleus. This added term is then effectively utilized to calculate the strength of gravitation attraction at subnuclear level, yielding satisfactory results.
